Hi! I just ran Pumpkin Knight on my windows laptop and I think I don't meet the system requirements. I had to download something for C++. the game looks and sounds nice. My stadia controller wasn't recognized. It normally isn't.
the inverted controls for mouse looking as the only default method of looking, had me looking for an options menu. I agree with Collider that some hit feedback from the enemies would have been crucial. IDK if that was in the version I played. I got a lot of delay between tapping the attack and actually making an attack.
the presentation is so spot on though. it was like playing a Tim Burton film. I look forward to trying out "zweihander jack o' lantern" again when I have better hardware to run it on.

Thanks so much for the feedback! I really appreciate you taking the time to provide constructive criticism. I’m going to do my best to make these changes and upload a better version to Steam in the new year. Thanks again for playing!

Hey! Got here through your YT, fantastic progress in such a short time. The animation style is really fun.

My only criticism would be to change the camera control to something more standard (on keyboard and mouse, I didn't try controller). The mouse should control the character direction as well as WASD, pretty uncontrollable this way, at least for me. Check out the standard 3rd person controller in UE. Maybe it's just me, but I find it disconcerting for them to be separated like this. The MMB lock/reset makes it a bit more usable, but it feels like it's fixing a problem that shouldn't exist.

Oh, also - just a small thing, but adding some feedback to hits would be awesome. Right now the sword just travels through enemies and the only way you know you hit them or they you is the life bar. A little knock back/sound/impact animation fx would feel great.

Not sure how far you're going to push this, as we all know you could tweak and polish forever.

Love your work, keep it up!

Thanks so much!!! I really appreciate your feedback! Quick question: did you play the Mac build or the Windows build? I pushed a small update to the Windows build with the camera fix and a few combat and healing VFX (very minor ones), which are not present in the Mac version. But making sure I nail these for my next game is super important, so I really appreciate you taking the time to show me my areas of improvement.

Mac build. I'm away from my PC until Monday or I would have tried. Looking forward to your next one. Just getting this far is a huge undertaking, so congrats!

Ah yeah, the Mac build needs some more TLC haha I've been so busy I haven't gotten around to updating it. But thank you so much! I appreciate your feedback and kind words.
